“CCS” Catalog

I created this booklet of skateboard graphics to display a range of image-making techniques, and formatted it in a booklet that pays homage to the CCS mail order catalogs from back in the day.


In my third year at Portland State, I had made the same standard school projects as everyone else. I was hungry to make work that shows my perspective and speaks to the kind of work I’d like to do, so I designed this project as an independent study for one term.


Designing two skateboard graphics per week forced me to explore different methods of image-making without over-thinking it. Compiling them all in a booklet a la the iconic CCS mail order catalogs of the 90’s and early 00’s was the perfect way to present the body of work to the target audience in a unique way.
